I’m a professional photographer based in Wallisellen, near Zurich. For over 18 years, I’ve been shooting for companies, industry, and institutions – from local SMEs to international corporations. My work is demanding, varied, and often on the move. For my productions, I occasionally look for a reliable assistant who gets things done, thinks along – and wants to learn in the process.

As a photo assistant, you’ll accompany me on location shoots at client sites. We work across corporate, industrial, and portrait photography – mostly in the Zurich area, occasionally throughout Switzerland. Often it’s portraits or people at work, but industrial locations and client products are part of the mix too. Jobs vary in length – sometimes half a day, sometimes a full day. Many are in the Zurich region, but longer trips, which we make together, are part of it as well.

In practice, that means: setting up and breaking down equipment, building and adjusting lighting, preparing camera and laptop for tethering, thinking ahead and stepping in wherever needed. No glamour – but a genuine look into professional photo productions.

You’re comfortable with digital DSLR or mirrorless cameras and know how tethering works. You’ve already worked with Capture One or Lightroom. Flash – whether studio strobe or speedlight – isn’t new to you.

You don’t need to be a perfectionist. But reliable, punctual, and attentive – yes. A good eye and a genuine interest in photography matter more than a flawless CV.

You won’t just be a pair of hands. I explain what I’m doing and why – you watch, ask questions, learn. Over time, you’ll gain insight into real productions for demanding clients and an understanding of how professional photography actually works in practice.

Pay is fair, based on effort and time. The jobs are irregular – sometimes one shoot a month, sometimes none. But I’m not looking for a one-time thing. If we click personally and professionally, I look forward to a long-term, recurring collaboration.

Maybe you’re studying photography or in the middle of your training. Maybe you’re already working freelance and want a look into a different field. All of that fits what I’m looking for.

What matters to me: you follow through when you commit. And you’re interested in a collaboration that goes beyond a single job.

No formal cover letter needed. Just send me a short message – who you are, what you’ve done so far, and why this interests you. That’s enough to get started.

What you should bring
